What You Can Do In One Hour

My classes are an hour long. That includes book checkout and computer lab time. Today, with 3rd graders I tried and pretty much succeeded pulling off the following in a single hour.

1. Check out books to about 28 students.
2. Photograph each student posed for the project we were doing. (They posed as if they were holding something in their hand)
3. Uploaded all the pictures to the district server.
4. Had the students log in to the computers and launch KidPix
5. Show the students how to add a graphic (their picture). {This was a first for the students}
6. Show the students how to draw on their picture.
7. Review multiplication arrays they were studying in class.
8. Show a preview of their final project. (Their pic holding a box with the array drawn inside with the multiplication sentence written somewhere).
9. Provide work time and assist when needed.
10. Export each final picture to be put in a slideshow on a later date.

Things were hectic, but I think the final product turned out pretty well.
